If you could have witnessed one event in all of Christian history…

If you could have witnessed one event in all of Christian history, which would it have been?

Michael Mooney, Exec. Elder (127)

I live in Greenville SC.  I am married to the woman of my dreams and we have 4 children.  I have been in ministry 20+ years.  I graduated from Liberty University.  I have a Diploma of Biblical Studies, Bachelor of Science in Religion, Master of Business Administration, and a Master of I/O Psychology.  I most enjoy camping, music production, and basking in the presence of the Holy Spirit while worshipping.

  1. At the sermon on the mount of Olives.  To sit with him as he taught on this wide range of topics would have been awesome.  Matthew 5-7. "Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them."

  2. I think anything from Jesus earthly life and ministry would be too overwhelming.  I would like to bear witness to Daniel being led into captivity as a young boy. Here he is, early teens maybe, and is ripped from his parents. Taken from the only land he has ever known. Marched across the desert enduring the blistering heat of day and bitter cold of night. Probably half starved and abused.

And yet, somehow he is able to hold on to his faith and honor and still do what is right in God's eyes when it was hard and everyone else was following society's norms.

I would love to see his devotion and how he was able to persevere. I think it will be a very valuable lesson for us as Christians in the very near future.

  3. To be present on the day of Pentecost: (Acts 2:1-4)

"1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
