Morning & Evening Prayers

Morning Prayer

Eternal Father, I praise you for sending your Son to be one of us and to save us. Look upon your people with mercy, for we are divided in so many ways, and give us the Spirit of Jesus to make us one in love. Let me remember the words of scripture when praying for unity, as 1 Peter 3:8 says, “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” I ask this gift, loving Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Evening Prayer

Lord Jesus, who prayed that we might all be one, I pray to you for the unity of Christians, according to your will, according to your means. May your Spirit enable to see my shortcoming, create in me a clean heart Oh God, renew a right spirit within me. Help me to seek unity with all believers and to hope beyond all hope. Amen.
