Did you know there are 3 steps you must take before you can be a witness for Jesus that he wants you to be? Do you know what they are? To truly be a disciple of God you must have completed all 3 of these to be the witness that Jesus wants you to be and that you were created for.
1. You must come to Jesus – The only way to the father is through the son. “Come to me in repentance and ask for forgiveness of your sins” Acts 2:38 ESV – And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2. Jesus must live in you – Read your bible daily, pray and concentrate your every thought on the word of God and how Jesus would live and what he would do always. Galatians 2:20 ESV –I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
3. Jesus must live through you – We have all heard that actions speak louder than words. In this case that is an absolute. It is now your responsibility to conduct yourself outwards in the exact same manner that Jesus did in every situation. You are to share with others what you now have in a guaranteed way to salvation and eternal life in the kingdom of heaven.1 John 2:6 ESV – Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. 1 Corinthians 11:1 ESV – Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
You are now prepared to witness for Jesus. The only thing you have left to do now is to find his lost children that need to meet him so they can be saved and have eternal life to come home with you
Encouraging words on witnessing for Christ!
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Not only the New Testament, but throughout the Bible we see God presenting witnesses……….
“The Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.” Exodus 19:3b-6
