About You?

Shalom, I am Lewis Stanley, Child of God, Husband, Father of 10, Grandfather of 10 and anticipating more in future. I currently work a full-time job out side our home, and continue my passion to serve the calling our Lord has placed on my life.I currently Pastor The Gathering Place, Family fellowship and Bible Study Group. in Orwell, Vermont.I am Ordained through the NACM, and a retired licensed Youth Pastor of A Rising Generation @Newlife Ministries at the First Baptist Church, in Fair Haven Vermont, I have run several study groups at area local churches in Rutland County, Vermont. I continue to officiate weddings and funerals in our local area.At The Gathering Place we come together not simply to study the word, but through fellowship and sharing, praying and discussing we find intimacy promoting an open door for the Lord to transform our lives. This group is for adults, young people and families coming together to live, laugh and play while learning the Jesus way. We often break bread (sharing a meal) together. We pray for each other daily and corporately, Specifically, we hope that together, through scripture and the holy spirit in each of us, we are drawn more intimately to our Lord and fully receive the gift of God’s grace, wisdom and peace in our lives. Discipleship, committing to the teachings and knowledge of our LORD, living it out and sharing the gospel beyond the walls of our meeting place reaching out to more than we can ever imagine. A Call to Persevere in Faith19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,  20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain,  that is, his body,  21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,  22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings,  having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess,  for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,  25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:19-25
