Psalm 107:1-2 says “ O give thanks unto the lord for he is good for his mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.
We as Christians have so much to praise and thank God for yet so many times we fall short on giving God the glory that he deserves. The psalmist David writes here in psalm 107 verse 1 saying “ O give thanks unto the lord for he is good for his mercy endureth forever. We serve a awesome and mighty God who is just and faithful to us and has blessed us all greatly. The scripture here goes on to say in verse 2 “ Let the redeemed of the lord say so whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” God sent his only son named Jesus to die upon the cross of Calvary that you and I might have life and have it more abundantly. He made a way of escape for us from sin therefore if you have been saved you are as the scripture here says redeemed from the hand of the enemy which is satan. When you stop and think about this for a moment your heart will fill with joy and praise unto him and this unspeakable joy will flow from your lips in praise unto the lord. I thank God for the plan of salvation and when I think of what Christ Jesus did for me on the cross taking on my sins, my failures, taking my place on the cross and paying my debt. When I think of how he ascended up to heaven to prepare a place for me, when I think of having eternal life in heaven free from the worries and cares of this life… to be free from all sickness and pain yes I want to shout it from the roof top that Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. God is good all the time. Despite the hard times that we so often face just remember that he is faithful and no matter your circumstances continue to give him thanks for all HE has done, all that HE is doing even now at this very moment, and what HE is going to do.
