Psalm 107:1-2 says “ O give thanks unto the lord for he is good for his mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.

We as Christians have so much to praise and thank God for yet so many times we fall short on giving God the glory that he deserves. The psalmist David writes here in psalm 107 verse 1 saying “ O give thanks unto the lord for he is good for his mercy endureth forever. We serve a awesome and mighty God who is just and faithful to us and has blessed us all greatly. The scripture here goes on to say in verse 2 “ Let the redeemed of the lord say so whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” God sent his only son named Jesus to die upon the cross of Calvary that you and I might have life and have it more abundantly. He made a way of escape for us from sin therefore if you have been saved you are as the scripture here says redeemed from the hand of the enemy which is satan. When you stop and think about this for a moment your heart will fill with joy and praise unto him and this unspeakable joy will flow from your lips in praise unto the lord. I thank God for the plan of salvation and when I think of what Christ Jesus did for me on the cross taking on my sins, my failures, taking my place on the cross and paying my debt. When I think of how he ascended up to heaven to prepare a place for me, when I think of having eternal life in heaven free from the worries and cares of this life… to be free from all sickness and pain yes I want to shout it from the roof top that Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. God is good all the time. Despite the hard times that we so often face just remember that he is faithful and no matter your circumstances continue to give him thanks for all HE has done, all that HE is doing even now at this very moment, and what HE is going to do.

Ted Jones (1)

Hello, my name is Edward H. Jones but everyone calls me Ted. I am a born again Christian having accepted Christ as my personal savior at the age of 10 years old. While in my teens I began singing for the lord and felt a calling from him to go into the ministry however I like many decided to follow my own path and did not answer Gods call. I traveled many miles singing bluegrass music and even through that God continued to richly bless me but within the last several months God has been working on me once again to go into the ministry and after rededicating my life to him and to service for him I am answering his call in my life and will be becoming the fire chaplain for my local county fire association in October. Through this I will be able to minister to many fireman within our county as well as any other agency that may need my assistance. God has richly blessed me in my life and I am thankful for the talents he has blessed me with to sing and will continue to use those talents solely for him and his glory! I am just a sinner saved by Gods grace and I am thankful for the calling he has placed in my life although it took me many years to finally realize it. I grew up in a pentecostal free will baptist church and have attended church for the majority of my life. I am currently a southern baptist and have been doing some online studies made available from St. Luke Evangelical School of Biblical Studies. I am studying Gods word each day and praying that his will be done in my life and my ministry for him.
