NO EXCUSE. Pt. 7

PERMITTED EXCUSE

“When a man is newly married, he is not to be drafted into military service or any other public duty; he is to be excused from duty for one year, so that he can stay at home and make his wife happy.” Deut.24:5.

The Lord gave us the permission to make our spouses happy. Your first job as a child of God who married is to satisfy your spouse.

If the home is not conducive, the whole community will be like forest. If we get it right at home, our community, nation and the world at large will share from the pleasant aroma.

When the home front is in order, whatever we are to do will flow well, go on smoothly without distraction and marshal with confidence and utmost concentration.

The Lord said a newly married must not be drafted into military service or any other public duty because the heart of such will be at home while the body alone would be where he or she is.

Anytime we are outside the home, the enemy could carry the battle home while we are still on the battle ground; hence, the newly married should first be at home, make the spouse has the necessary orientation and understanding of the battle at stake before leaving the house. This is not a week or a month affairs.

To synergize the war fronts with home battle is significant. We saw this in Judges 4:17-20 when Sisera, the war leader of the enemy of Israel carried the battle to Jael’s home.

“And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink ; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk , and gave him drink, and covered him.” Jdg.4:19.

She made him sleep and struck him dead before Deborah and the rest came back. If a married person is defeated at home, he or she cannot succeed outside.

Married learn and the singles should take a cue from this to choose right. Choose the will of God and make the person your friend uncut from courtship to marriage. It makes the understanding of what is at stake solid.

May you not marry the friend of your enemy in Jesus name. For the married the Lord said, “Make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt.” Mat.12:33.

The making of how you want your home to be is in your hand.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me not to let the enemy I am defeating outside defeat me at home in Jesus name. Amen 💕
