“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’–and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked–“ Rev. 3:14-17.

Beloved, God’s thought is quite different from ours. It takes humility and sincere heart searching to discover our spiritual state most times. Activities, results and human testimonies and comments are deceiving. All these are not the right yardsticks to judge our right standing with God.

There are times some things would bury itself in the life of a believer, waiting for the time of manifestation. There are some that if they are not detected early and uprooted before their manifestation, it could be disastrous.

After Moses killed the Egyptian boy, anger buried itself in his life for about 80 years only to surface when he was at the brink of promised land. May we enter into our promised land unhindered in Jesus name.

Don’t measure yourself by success. Measure yourself by the standard of God for your life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, reveal my present standing in Your will and help me amend my way in Jesus name. Amen.
