Steps to Unfriending Worry

⚡️ 2 Steps to Unfriending Worry
 
 
 
I have never met person (considered mentally well) who desired a life filled with the fear and anxiety
of worry -Box A. 
To the contrary, anxiety is often associated with phobias and mental disorders (PD, SAD, PTSD).  After all, U.S. National Library of Medicine defines mental illness as reoccurring thought processes which cause mental suffering, and or the ability to function normally in everyday life. 
 
Of course, the previous is descriptive of the extremities of anxiety.  Nothing in this article is aimed at addressing illness. People in such conditions likely need professional treatment under the supervision of healthcare professionals. To the opposite, let’s consider how to manage the “normal” anxiety of
everyday living.
 
Philippians
4:6-7
 
God’s
Word Translation
 
(6).
Never worry about anything.
But in every situation let God know what
you need in prayers
and requests while
giving thanks
.
(7).
Then God’s peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard
your
thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus.

2 Steps to Unfriending Worry
Step 1: Realize the True Circumstances:
Fear exploits the desire of pride by the propensity to place confidence in the
thoughts and emotions of “our wills.” 

These desires are understood by the nature of worry; and measured by the
predominance of anxious thoughts. 

Therefore, worry is the fear of surrendering control to the God of circumstances.  It is a delusion that we have any control
apart from that which God gives us.
Instead
of worrying
over circumstances you cannot control,
Step 2: Bring your concerns to God by:  
a. Petitioning (asking for “His will” in your life)
b. Praising (giving thanks as an act of worship for his past provisions.)
Outcome:
Because your confidence will be in God, your thoughts and emotions will not be controlled
by the prideful anxiety of fear. 
Then, God’s peace will supersede all circumstances through Christ Jesus.
